“ The highlight of our trip to Bordeaux During our recent 8-night trip to Bordeaux and Saint Emilion, we dined at some of the top restaurants in the city, including Michelin star establishments. However, the standout meal was at Chai Maestro. From the warm greeting when we entered to the attentive, friendly service from the manager throughout the night, the dining experience was impeccable. We began with the tuna tartare, razor clams and shrimp ravioli with foie gras which were all so fresh and expertly prepared. For mains, we had the squid and chorizo risotto made with squid ink, and the beef tartare. The risotto was rich and full of flavor with perfect al dente rice, and the beef tartare was seasoned to perfection. The desserts did not disappoint either - impeccable. During our entire trip, this was absolutely the best meal we had in Bordeaux. I highly recommend trying as many dishes as possible to fully experience the talented chef's skills. Everything was made from quality ingredients and had so much flavor. The charming, intimate setting of this local bistro makes it the perfect place for an outstanding French meal. I will certainly return to Chai Maestro first when I visit Bordeaux again in the future. It deserves to be at the top of any Bordelaise dining itinerary. ”

We tried difference dishes from the hand written menu and each one was a treat. The dishes are a fushion between asian and french cuisine and this place knows how to pull it off.
